Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 25 May 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you can and can't do when you use the Talent Fiji Service. It supplements our Terms of Service.
Breaching this AUP can result in your Content being removed, your account being suspended or closed, and — in serious cases — referral to law enforcement.
1. The basics
Talent Fiji is a workplace. Treat it like one. Respect other users. Tell the truth. Don't waste people's time. Don't do anything illegal.
2. What you must not do
Regardless of whether you're a Candidate, Employer, or recruiter, you must not:
- Post Content that's illegal in Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, or your country of residence.
- Post Content that incites violence, hatred, or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Harass, bully, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person or organisation.
- Post sexual content, sexually suggestive content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Post personal information about another person without their consent (doxxing).
- Use the Service to commit fraud or any other offence.
- Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or any other automated tool — including autonomous AI agents — to access, scrape, or interact with the Service, except via APIs we explicitly authorise.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code of the Service.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our prior written consent. For responsible disclosure, contact [email protected].
- Send spam — including unsolicited bulk messages, repeated identical applications, or commercial communications outside the scope of the Service.
- Upload viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
- Circumvent any technical measure we use to restrict access.
- Take any action that places an unreasonable load on the Service.
3. Employer rules — additional
If you post job Listings or recruit Candidates on Talent Fiji, you must not:
- Post fake jobs or Listings designed to harvest Candidate data for purposes unrelated to recruitment.
- Require Candidates to pay a fee — for application, training, equipment, "registration", or any other reason — as a condition of applying for, securing, or performing a role posted on the Service.
- Discriminate against Candidates on the basis of any protected characteristic under Fijian, Australian, or New Zealand employment law.
- Post Listings for roles that involve illegal work, unsafe working conditions, exploitation, or modern slavery.
- Post Listings for multi-level marketing schemes, pyramid schemes, or other commercial structures that are not bona fide employment.
- Post Listings that misrepresent the role, the company, the location, the compensation, or the working conditions.
- Use Candidate information obtained via the Service for any purpose other than evaluating the Candidate for the role they applied to.
- Solicit Candidates off the Service to circumvent invoice charges.
- Operate more than one Employer account for the same legal entity without our prior written consent.
4. Candidate rules — additional
If you have a Candidate account, you must not:
- Apply for roles in bad faith.
- Submit applications using false information, fabricated experience, fabricated qualifications, or other misleading content.
- Use another person's CV, identity, or profile.
- Apply on behalf of someone else without their explicit consent and authority.
- Harass Employers, including via repeated unsolicited follow-up after a rejection.
- Submit excessive numbers of applications per day in ways inconsistent with bona fide job searching.
5. Content moderation
We may remove or modify Content that breaches this AUP, the Terms, or applicable law. We may also remove Content that risks harm to users or the integrity of the Service.
New Employer Listings from companies that don't yet have a verified track record on Talent Fiji are subject to moderation review before going live publicly — typically the first three Listings from a new Employer.
6. Reporting violations
- Report a Listing — use the "Report" link on the Listing page.
- Report a profile — use the "Report" link on the profile page.
- Report a message — use the "Report" link in the message thread.
- Other reports — email [email protected].
We take reports seriously. Each report is reviewed and we take appropriate action — which may include removing Content, suspending the offending account, or referring the matter to law enforcement.
We do not tolerate retaliation against users who make good-faith reports. Attempting to retaliate against a reporter is itself a breach of this AUP.
7. Enforcement
If you breach this AUP, we may:
- Issue a warning.
- Require you to remove or modify Content.
- Suspend your account temporarily.
- Terminate your account permanently.
- Remove or refuse to refund any Subscription or Listing fees you have paid.
- Refer the matter to law enforcement or other authorities.
Serious breaches — including illegal content, scam Listings, harassment, and modern slavery — result in immediate permanent account termination without warning.
8. Reporting illegal content
If you believe Content on the Service is illegal in your jurisdiction, contact [email protected] with as much detail as possible. We will remove Content in response to lawful orders issued by the Online Safety Commission of Fiji or any other competent authority.
9. Intellectual property — takedown notices
If you believe Content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] including:
- Your identity and contact details.
- Identification of the copyrighted work.
- The URL of the allegedly infringing Content.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorised.
- A statement under penalty of applicable perjury law that the information in the notice is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We respond to valid notices by removing the allegedly infringing Content and notifying the user who posted it. The user can submit a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was incorrect.
10. Contact
