Accessibility Statement

Talent Fiji is built for everyone in Fiji and the Pacific — including users with disabilities. This page explains our accessibility commitments, our current conformance status, and how to get help if you encounter a barrier.
1. Our commitment
We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA conformance, with consideration of WCAG 2.2 where applicable. Some surfaces may not yet fully meet this standard; we work to remediate identified issues as they arise.
Our specific design and engineering commitments:
- All pages tested at 360-pixel width (the typical Fijian mobile device) before any larger viewport.
- Visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
- Minimum tap-target size of 44 × 44 pixels.
- Body text contrast of at least 4.5:1; large text and UI components at least 3:1.
- Form errors announced to screen readers via ARIA live regions.
- All images that convey information have alternative text; decorative images have empty alt text.
- All forms have explicit label associations.
- All pages keyboard-navigable; no functionality dependent on hover or right-click alone.
- Respect for the
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Pages usable at 200% browser zoom without horizontal scrolling.
- Single H1 per page; semantic landmark structure.
- Language attribute on every page (
lang="en-FJ").
2. How we test
- Automated: axe-core used during development; full CI integration is planned.
- Manual: keyboard-only navigation pass and screen-reader spot-checks (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android) on the top user flows before major releases.
3. Known issues
We disclose accessibility issues we are aware of so users can plan around them. If you find an accessibility issue not listed publicly, please tell us.
4. Compatible technologies
- Browsers: the latest two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge on both desktop and mobile.
- Screen readers: VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA (Windows), JAWS (Windows). We test most extensively on VoiceOver iOS and TalkBack Android.
- Operating systems: macOS, Windows, iOS 15+, Android 10+.
Older browsers and unsupported assistive technologies may not provide a full experience.
5. Feedback and help
If you experience a barrier using the Service, or if you have suggestions for how we can improve accessibility, contact us at [email protected].
We aim to respond to accessibility queries within 5 business days.
If you need information from the Service in an alternative format (large print, audio description, text-only version), email [email protected] with the URL and a description of what you need. We will provide an alternative format at no charge.
6. Enforcement
If you believe we have failed to provide accessibility in line with our commitments and you have contacted us but the issue is not resolved, you may raise a complaint with:
- Fiji — the Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission, where applicable.
- New Zealand — the Human Rights Commission.
- Australia — the Australian Human Rights Commission.
7. Review cycle
This statement is reviewed at least every 12 months, and after any material product change.
